Interview with Phoebe Chuah-Leininger

Multi-lingual, curious, refined, Phoebe is happy to be able to transmit her experiences and knowledge to Institut Paul Bocuse students.

Phoebe Chuah-Leininger is in perfect symbiosis with the Institut, its universe and its values both through her experiences and her personality.

Born in Malaysia, she knows how important tourism is for the economic and professional development of a region. A graduate in Hospitality Management from the School of Caux in Switzerland, Phoebe got her first professional experiences from a little bit everywhere in the world: Shanghai, Hong Kong and Europe. She also has a Master’s in Luxury Brand Management (Paris).

After having worked for the greatest names in luxury, including Van Cleef & Arpels, Phoebe has more specifically specialized in the field of communication and management in the luxury hotel industry.

Multi-lingual, curious, refined, Phoebe is happy to be able to transmit her experiences and knowledge to Institut Paul Bocuse students. She teaches courses that reflect her passion for luxury hotel management in an international environment: Hospitality Industry Marketing, Management and Luxury Brand Management, Business Management in Asia, Intercultural Management… In addition, her mastery of Mandarin Chinese and her pedagogical talents have led her to train students from the Institut in intensive sessions before their departure for the Restaurant School of Shanghai. “I am so happy when I observe the students at the Institut and I discover their inventiveness, their dynamism and their desire to do their best in a field that has a real need for their competencies; it’s a field that will enable them to pursue their fulfillment both professionally and on a human level”, Phoebe confides.
