JUN-JUN HUANG

I am always unsatisfied

The word is out: Are you looking for a perfectionist? Ask Jun-Jun. Whim has no place in her life: she is boiling over with projects, catches each and every opportunity, every experience helps to model her future. At 21, her life is in front of her and she is charging!

Jun-Jun was certain, as young as 15 years old, of her professional project: Management, nothing more, nothing less. Already speaking English and Mandarin, she increased her repertoire through three years of high school and two at the language school in Wenzao where she learned French. “Speaking different languages and continuing my education are excellent tools to use in my trade…” But for her, Hospitality is particular: her father is in the restaurant industry and her mother, her best adviser, helped her to ripen her ideas concerning her vocation little by little. Having decided to combine traveling and learning, Jun-Jun took off for Europe to join the institut and learn Mr. Paul Bocuse’s technique “whose reputation is firmly established…”  Even if things are not always easy, life at the Clipper, the community and the “family environment” help her forget her difficulties.  As usual, she is up to the challenge, so much so that during her first internship at the Carlton International in Cannes, she was propelled into Housekeeping. “Gouvernante is a pivotal post in which I feel very much at ease. We see everything, we know everything and we are constantly confronted with little everyday problems… In addition, I could see up close and personally the backstage happenings of the film “4 Stars” which was filmed at the Carlton, experience the ambiance of the festival and visit the south of France!” she unveils to us with a smile.
The second internship which she has just started is taking place at the Restaurant Drouant in Paris. In the menu: sales development and marketing, team management. Hmmm…

Jun-Jun has found her motto, the post of house keeping seems to correspond well to her personality: “It’s true, I like this type of responsibility: one must combine observation, rigor, reactivity and flexibility, values in which I feel in phase…” she confides half willingly because her modesty makes her blush. But before settling down, she must first accomplish the incredible “to do” list that she has made: travel, finish up her schooling with a Masters in the States – “how about in New York?” - learn Spanish, Japanese, write a book on breakfasts and then return to Asia to settle down… Wow, projects, did you say projects?! “I always want more but then again the school pushes us in that direction, doesn’t it?” she jokes. Her ultimate goal: see all the different trends, develop her own method of management and put it into practice. Utopist one might say, but after having met her, impossible is not Jun-Jun…
