KASPER KASPRZYCKI-ROSIKON

Give oneself the possibility to jump into a project and succeed

This is the motto of Kasper Kasprzycki-Rosikon, a 25 year old Pole endowed with unusual determination and an inextinguishable curiosity. In the second year of his masters in Hotel and Restaurant management, his fifth year at the Institut Paul Bocuse, Kasper’s only limits are the ones that he sets for himself.  His program of study, both atypical and brilliant is proof.

With his impeccable French, he explains that he studied in a French school in Warsaw, the city where he was born in 1982. When he was 16, precociously convinced that in life “You have to give yourself the possibility to succeed, he decided to move to Springfield, Ohio to obtain his high school degree.
Back in Warsaw after two years of beaux-arts studies, and only partially satisfied with his choice, he decided to turn to the hotel industry, another subject that has interested him for a long time. His mother works in publishing. Through the beautiful books that she brought home, he became familiar with famous hotels and restaurants throughout the world. A distant cousin who was a student at the Institut Paul Bocuse told him about the school. It wasn’t long before he came to France to visit it and his decision was made just as fast.

In 2002 Kasper entered the “family style” school (his own expression) and found the ambiance and the classes that alternate theory and practice to his liking.

As an intern at the reception of the Normandy Barrière hotel in Deauville, he appreciated that he was always treated as a professional member of this pivotal department, “the heart of a hotel where you can learn about its global functioning”.

For his second internship, Kasper traveled to Polynesia, to the Bora Bora Nui- Luxury Collection (STARWOOD group), a few steps away from where Julien Lamensch  did his internship one year earlier.  This was a great adventure where he found himself managing a team of 13 in room service during one month, when in fact, he was hired to work on “cost control in F&B”!! He distinguished himself by his professionalism and efficiency during critical situations.

The rest of his internship took place in cost control and in income audit as the night auditor.

In his third year, Kasper put everything into place to obtain an internship at the Starwood group headquarters in Brussels, in the Design Construction and Engineering department where he would participate in the development of projects to build new hotels. He was in charge of studying the plans and creating tools to study conformity and assuring that the charter of the group was being applied.

During the first year of his masters, his internship was in the public relations department for two Warsaw hotels, once again with the Starwood group. At the same time, Kasper is given the job to develop and elucidate the company’s “social responsibility” through an international “Youth Career Initiative” which consists in helping young people who are in difficulty  by teaching them through theory and practice an occupation.

Currently in year 2 of his masters, Kasper is doing his internship alongside his mother in Poland, editing a cookbook for Starwood. In his 2nd year of his masters, he is focusing on the strategic and financial spheres of the industry. He is also interested in process control in which each step of hotel services is optimized. He is already deep in his projects, driven by the hunger to learn which characterizes him all so well… Next year, a one year management training program on process control at Starwood- Warsaw is waiting for you already !
