Agro Tuesdays: “Innovation in food products: national and international trends”

The most recent Agro Tuesdays conference held at Institut Paul Bocuse on Tuesday, April 3, was placed under the banner of innovation in food products. At the initiative of the European Business and Innovation Cluster, Alimentec, these participative conferences seek to promote development and dynamism in the agro-food industries.

For this new edition of “Agro Tuesdays”, held at the Institut Paul Bocuse Research Center, Muriel Genin from Foodaly (Bureau of trends in food consumption – consultancy in strategy and agro-food marketing) reviewed the situation regarding the most recent and significant trends and product innovations on both the national and international markets. She first covered the axes of development for what she called the “megatrends” linked to product innovation: “a return to the basics”, “personalization”, “preservation of one’s health capital” and the “needs of new interactive generations”.

More than 15 trends were thus analyzed and deciphered, illustrated through concrete cases and “hints” on the innovative ideas already covered in the restaurant, food consumption and industry sectors.

43 attendees participated: principally, heads of research and development, project managers from the agro-food industry as well as entrepreneurs.

This event, which showcased a visit of the Institut Paul Bocuse experimental restaurant, met with great success, especially thanks the keynote speaker’s ability to share the keys to successful innovation with the audience.
