Happy Birthday… 20th anniversary for Le Pont De La Tour!

The Chefs Ogheard and Naquin, seconded by Emily, Florent, Francesco and Ricard, graduates from the class of 2011, took off for London on the occasion of an exceptional anniversary on 11 October 2011, placed under the sign of excellence and tradition that Paul Bocuse initiated.

This ceremony celebrated both the 20th anniversary of the Pont de La Tour, the first of Sir Terence Conran’s restaurants, and its founder’s 80th birthday. On the premises made available at the Pont De la Tour restaurant, the D&D London Group’s gastronomic restaurant, the Chefs from the Institut, Patrick Ogheard and Jean-Paul Naquin prepared a gala day for the guests invited to celebrate the famous London restaurant’s anniversary: lunch, cocktail and dinner! The participation by two Chefs from the Institut confirms the quality of the ties between the Institut and D&D London. Sir Terence Conran was the patron of the class of 2001, and more students will be carrying out end-of-studies internships in Management Training in the group’s establishments. The work was enriched by fantastic gourmet culture, since the chefs and their students prepared a dinner showcasing the greatest successes on the menu in Collonges: Fowl from Bresse with morels, Baba au rhum… as well as the famous and much acclaimed Consommé VGE, created in 1978 by Paul Bocuse when French President Giscard d’Estaing awarded him the ‘légion d’honneur’.
