19 MARCH 2012
Institut Paul Bocuse and ‘École supérieure d'art et design de Saint-Étienne’ (ESADSE) made their cooperation official on Monday 12 March with the objective of developing and encouraging exchanges (programs, organization of seminars, joint publications by respective research teams…).
This partnership constitutes an additional major asset in the training and future of Institut Paul Bocuse students since the exchanges will involve:
- The blending of courses specific to design, culinary arts and the arts of the table, in order to encourage exchange and reflection on the notions of usage.
- The organization of joint projects regarding entrepreneurship, social and technical innovation, with the aim of facilitating the entry of students into the job market.
- The development of prestigious actions at important national or international events.
“In our approach, we have built a bridge between our two schools of higher education to facilitate the understanding of this great sector of hotel-restaurant management and design by our respective students; with energy to contribute to their progress having at heart the pleasures of the table and the art of hosting”, Hervé Fleury, general manager of Institut Paul Bocuse.
Beyond the mission of education, Institut Paul Bocuse and ESADSE also intend to create new synergies based on research. Seminars, joint publications, program exchanges, etc... will also enable the Institut Paul Bocuse Research Center to benefit from ESADSE’s expertise in design for projects developed in the framework of theses or special studies.
Through this new partnership concluded for a period of three years that can be renewed, the key point is to enhance the contributions from different cultures necessary for the cross-fertilization of the creative process. The first action will be visible this May, during the Paris Designer's Days, held on the theme of Identities.
