THE INSTITUT PAUL BOCUSE RESTAURANT-SCHOOL IN SHANGHAI
2 international schools in partnership on a unique project: A Restaurant-School, a place of exchange and sharing of know-how.
A pedagogical tool to put students in practical professional situations, the Restaurant-School allows 120 Chinese students from the Shanghai Institute of Tourism to be trained in culinary techniques and restaurant management. They are supervised and trained by 7 young graduates from Institut Paul Bocuse. Twice a year, in springtime and autumn, the team is supported by 16 students from the two programs at Institut Paul Bocuse, International Hotel and Restaurant Management and Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management, selected to carry out their 2nd year internship.
The aim of this initiative is to prepare students to begin their professional life by giving them solid competence in intercultural management.
Open to a Chinese and international clientele, the Restaurant-School offers contemporary and French cuisine with great care. With a capacity of 80 guests, the restaurant is open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday. Opening hours are: 11:30am to 2pm for lunch and 6pm to 9:30pm for dinner.
